Here’s some information about us

My name is Enrico Mattera and I run the hotel with my wife Giusy, who comes from Romagna, and my brother Dino, who takes care of our large, beautiful and luxuriant garden, where one of the largest cacti in Italy is located.

Do you know the story of Nicoletta, the dog who watched over her master at Panza cemetery for many years after his death? Well, I am happy to have taken care of this special and faithful dog, who deserved a statue, precisely for her being so unique. This earned me an award for Kindness, which I am honored to have received.
I was also awarded by the Italian Republic with the 2020/2021 Italian Excellence prize: a coveted recognition from Assotutela, with the patronage of the Senate of the Republic.
The prize has repaid me and all my collaborators for the intense work, commitment, passion and love that we put into our work every day.
